Database Engineering is a complex topic, spanning Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical and Physical), Relational and Non-Relational databases, as well as Centralized and Federated Data Storage.
It involves optimizing an organization’s data domain into easily accessible sub-set(s), so that enterprise applications can access the data as needed. To add further complexities, where there is a HUB-and-SPOKE model – data synchronization becomes a critical feature to keep track of.

Data Modeling tools are heavily utilized to perform entity modeling, as well as to translate business and functional needs into clusters/domains of data sets.

DHARA™ has specific expertise is all aspects of Data Engineering and Data Synchronization. We modeled and implemented a large-scale data-synchronization effort through our engagement at GS1 US (formerly Uniform Code Council) by helping our customer launch UCCnet.
This system was used for synchronizing product data between Retailers (such as WALMART) and Suppliers (such as P&G). Near real-time data synchronization was required to enable a smooth flow of transactions between all Trading Partners.

At Dept of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, DHARA™ Is currently engaged in large-scale Database Operations, which includes database engineering, data synchronization and data architecture. Technologies we specialize in comprise of Oracle 11g, 12c, EXADATA, Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and PostGRES SQL.
We also engage in data synchronization activities between various HUB-and-SPOKE model database instances. Our expert Database Administrators (DBA) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) engage in ensuring continuity of operations for these mission critical systems, 24×7, 365 days. For more information on the specific database system, please refer to Consular Consolidated Database.
