OBJECTIVE
Dhara is currently seeking a SME Software Developer, System Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in the National Capital Region, Florida or possibly a remote location with TS clearance and SCI eligibility. The qualified applicant will become part of Dhara’s vital role in safeguarding our nation’s information with MPCO. The MPCO assumes responsibility for modernization, management, integration, operation, maintenance, and sustainment of the MPE capabilities, including numerous legacy capabilities. The MPCO also provides DoD-wide enterprise-level development, integration, systems engineering, and synchronized delivery of mission capabilities and DoD-wide enterprise services that support interagency, multinational, coalition and combined C2I coalition information sharing requirements. These capabilities include cross-domain solutions, cybersecurity, and interoperability testing. The MPE is designed and optimized to meet the Commanders’ critical interoperability requirements across all warfighting functions and allow access to information by authorized users. The MPE also provides users access to common warfighter functions and mission applications with the goal of a standardized network infrastructure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The responsibilities of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Software Engineer are typically focused on providing deep technical expertise and leadership in software development. These responsibilities could include a range of tasks, from hands-on coding to strategic planning.
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- Serve as the expert in government directed specific programming languages, frameworks, tools, or technologies.
- Advice and assist government with technical direction with designing, developing, and implementing software solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, or methodologies to improve software development processes and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A Subject Matter Expert (SME)-level person within a labor category has 15 years or more of experience performing work related to the labor category functional.
- Ten (10) or more years of specific functional requirement and expertise pertaining specifically to the labor category or area of expertise, description and a component of the DoD relating to the PWS task areas being supported.
- Senior-level staff experience requirement, SME-level person will assist in establishing procedures or standards, provide recommendations for procedural improvements, and contributing to efficiency and performance improvement.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering. Masters is preferred
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
